Congratulations to Katja Butts from the U-16G Express and the rest of her teammates from the George Mason High School Mustangs for winning the VHSL “A” Girls Soccer State Championship!!!!
Katja Butts (in red), has already won a VHSL State Championship as a freshman at George Mason High School and has won four consecutive league titles with the U-16G Annandale Express.
George Mason defeated Goochland 7-1 in today’s state final. The Mustangs defeated defending champion Radford 5-4 PK’s after the game was tied at 1-1 following two sudden death overtimes.
Katja Butts started the state finals at the left fullback position and helped shut down Goochland. Please take a moment to congratulate her when you see her. What a wonderful TEAM achievement!
