Shomit’s Youth Soccer Training Tips

Bo Amato has coached in the Washington Metropolitan Area for over 5 years. He is a firm believer that the game can be taught in a positive and fun environment. Bo currently coaches in the Y league, MSSL, NCSL, WAGS, ODSL and ODP.

Bo played with the Tottenham Hotspurs organization in 1985 and 1986 as a youth player.

He also represented Somerset’s in the Under 19 age group at 16 years of age. Bo was selected to participate in the England Public School Boy Trials in 1985 County

The U-16G Annandale Express (formerly Arlington) will continue open tryouts this week at Mason District Park.  Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday June 24-26 from 6:30-8:00.

The rising Under-16 girls Annandale Express will hold an additional tryout on Thursday June 19th from 5:00-6:30 at Mason District Park.

Annandale United FC finished Spring 2008 NCSL play with a record of 7-1-1 for a total of 22 points, winning the U-14B NCSL Division 1 championship.  The team also had an impressive goals scored vs. goals against statistic, in U-14 NCSL Spring 2008 league play, scoring TWENTY goals, while only allowing THREE.

This team is for committed players and parents who want to be part of a very positive, yet competitive, training environment.  The Annandale United FC conducts a year-round training program, overseen by Annandale Director of Coaching, Bo Amato.  The United FC is committed to preparing players who may want to play competitive soccer beyond high school as individuals, while pursuing common team goals at the same time.

The U-16G Annandale Express’ own Vasthy Delgado has been invited to Region I ODP Camp from July 6-10 at Rhode Island University.  This is a wonderful accomplishment for a very hard-working player and an even better person.

The rising U-16G Annandale Express (formerly Arlington) have an overall outdoor record of 35-9-7 in their last 51 games and have won back-to-back-to-back league championships in ODSL Division 1 (Spring 2007), WAGS Division 5 (Fall 2007), and WAGS Division 4 (Spring 2008).

The rising U-16G Annandale Express have also made finals appearances in five out of their last six tournaments.

Head Coach Shomit Mukherjee holds a USSF National Youth License and a USSF National “C” License.  Assistant Coach Mike Walsh holds a USSF National “D” License.

Rising U15 Boys - Annandale United FC - NCSL Division One Champions are looking for dedicated soccer players in all positions.  United are an all year round college track program.
